SOLE F80 Treadmill Review

"Very close to commercial quality
This is a great treadmill that can be compared to a health club quality machine. It may not have all the visual and interactive qualities, but it's built well and sturdy enough to make me think I'm on a Lifefitness machine. I went to Sears to run on the F85 and F80. I felt no difference between the two. Even though the F85 has a larger screen and larger motor, it wasn't worth the extra money. I'm not a large person and either is my wife. I'm 5'-11" 180lbs. I think if you're over 225lbs. you may need the extra power?? I really like the wider belt!! The heart rate strap works great. The screen is easy to figure out. I haven't used all of the features of the menus. I'm still stuck on manual settings. My workouts consist of a 5K run/walk. It's feels solid while running. Very little shaking with virtually no rattling of moving parts. The belt seems a lot quieter now that it had some breaking in time. Others may be in the same room while it's in use and I've heard 0 complaints. It is very quiet!!! The machine started out a little noisy from the belt breaking in as noted in the information. There may be little things to complain about but not even worth mentioning. The AMAZON PRIME delivery was AWESOME!!!! The two delivery guys carried it into my basement workout room without any issues. They even unboxed it for me to assemble!!!...and took the box it came in! I was thinking I would need to carry it down and set it up. I was very happy about this!!!! Another point worth mentioning is the folding feature. The machine moves easily while folded. This was a huge selling feature because we could fold it up and move it to another room if we needed the space. It does take up a large footprint. BTW-I did try other folding treadmills and this was the only one that moved easily. If you have thicker carpet you may have problems. For the price paid, this treadmill packs a lot of features for it's class. It was definitely worth the money spent.
UPDATE: going on 3 years!! Only one roller replacement. Replaced under warranty!! Used almost every day! I've made the environment where this treadmill is used one that's inviting and full of media items. If you're putting this in your bedroom or empty boring room, there's a good chance it'll end up collecting dust or becoming a real expensive clothes rack. It's a go to stress reliever while watching your favorite show!!"

"THIS IS THE ONE
If you're a big person (400 lbs & 6'5") like I am, this is the treadmill for you. I had been shopping for a treadmill for months but because of my size, I wasn't having much luck. All of the consumer grade machines out there had a weight capacity of only 300 to 350 lbs. I was losing hope then I found the Sole F-85. I have to admit, I was nervous about dropping 1900 dollars on a product without having the opportunity to try it but this treadmill didn't disappoint. It was took about 2 and a half hours to assemble it. The printed instructions were somewhat lacking but luckily there are videos on youtube which show the whole process step by step.
As soon as I pulled my F-85 out of the box, I was impressed. Most home treadmills are small and fragile looking. That wasn't the case with the the F-85. Even though it's not a commercial grade unit, you wouldn't know by looking at it. This sucker is BIG and STURDY and it handles my weight without any difficulty. Now granted, I only use my treadmill for walking but most treadmills I've tried for home gyms will slow down or even stop if I step down too hard. The Sole doesn't even strain itself. It just keeps chuggin'
NOW... The Sole doesn't have a touch screen or a video monitor that shows you pretty scenery. But for a $1900 price tag, you can't beat it with a stick. This is as good as almost any machine I've used at healthclubs. It's long enough that you don't have to shorten your strides. It's got a very user friendly LED display panel with large easy to read characters and the button controls are clearly marked and concise. It took me about 5 minutes to figure everything out.
BOTTOM LINE... If you're a big person and you want a piece of equipment that delivers the goods without breaking your budget. YOU GOTTA GET YOU ONE OF THESE!!! :-)"
